The first venture of Grupo Riquelme is born under the name Panadería del Sur with the production of baked goods and noodles.
The new bakery and noodle shop Imperial is inaugurated, which later becomes Fideos Federal, a brand that remains in the consumer's preference in the national market.
Cereales S.A. is born, venturing into the flour mill industry, responding to the need to supply its own raw material in light of the growth in the production of baked goods and noodles.
The first establishment called Golondrina is acquired, giving birth to the Campos Morombi Agro-Livestock Unit.
Compañía Cervecera Asunción is inaugurated with the beer brands Munich (Royal, Imperial, and Premium) and Polar, setting up a model production plant in the country with high technology and specialized professionals to deliver a Paraguayan beer of international quality.
The founder of the Group, Don Blás N. Riquelme, voluntarily preserves more than 25,000 hectares of native forests and wetlands within the Golondrina establishment, which later becomes one of the main natural reserves in Paraguay.
Embotelladora Central S.A. (EMCESA) is created, venturing into the production of non-alcoholic beverages as a bottler with the RC International franchise for brands like Arci Cola.
The first supermarket is acquired, starting a successful retail business under the brand Cadena Real with an option for the family and the differentiating factor of a high-quality bakery and confectionery, true to its bakery tradition.
EMCESA launches Niko, its own brand of soft drinks that quickly becomes the second most preferred brand in the country, gaining market share even over long-established international brands.
The Morombí Private Natural Reserve is officially created by Executive Decree No. 14,910, consolidating its conservation mission by protecting more than 25,000 hectares, a core area of the Atlantic Forest of Alto Paraná (BAAPA), through the management of the Group.
